Since his retirement from the high tech industry, he has restarted his musical career. By the 1990’s country music morphed into a form of the pop genre which was not enjoyable to the ear or play. In 2001, he started attending an annual traditional jazz camp to learn how to play Dixieland jazz. In 2006, while a member of the Stone Street Strummers Banjo Band, he and five other members started the Dixie Diehards Jazz Band which has enjoyed recognition as one of the premier Dixieland bands in the Southern New England area.
